Yesterday our school was very saddened to hear of the passing of Mick Corcoran. Mick had been a part of our school community for many years. He contributed to the development of Coláiste Éamann Rís in so many ways. Mick was responsible for the upkeep of our GAA grounds and dressing rooms for many years. He took great pride in his work and the standard of the dressing rooms and pitch were reflected in this. We remember in particular Mick’s gentle nature and the way he had with our students. He had a kind word for each one of them and always did anything that he could do to help them. We would in particular to express our condolences to Mick’s daughter Ivy, who is a teacher in our school, his grandson Jason, who is a past teacher in our school and his grandsons Cian and Tommy who are current students. Ar dheis Dé a anam uasal.
