Colaiste Eamann Rís, Callan is a Catholic school inspired by the vision of Blessed Edmund Rice.The central purpose of the school is the religious, moral, intellectual, physical and social education of the student in an atmosphere of Christian care and concern.
Colaiste Eamann Ris has provided a second-level education for boys in Callan and surrounding areas for many generations. Founded by the Christian Brothers in 1868, the school was originally located at West Street, Callan but moved to our present location in 1983. The school is a modern spacious building with facilities for the teaching of a wide range of subjects.
