Our TY's had a European Union breakfast morning in aid of the Irish Refugee Council. They were busy making crepes tinsel to our 1st year students. Many thanks to our sponsors Daybreak, supervalu and Keoghs. @edmundriceschools #pancakes
A massive well done to all staff and students who took part in the school fun run fundraiser for cancer research today. This was organised by our 5th Year LCVP class and their teachers Ms Hickey and Ms Malone. Well done to everyone that helped to make this event a success once again this year. We are running our Christmas Shoebox Appeal again this year. If you would like to participate in sending a Christmas Shoebox to a child in a poorer part of the world you can do so by getting an information leaflet from the school or contacting Mr Butler on t.butler@cbscallan.ie. A Big Thanks to Damien Ryan from Kilkenny Fire and Rescue Service for speaking to our Coláiste Éamann Rís TY and Leaving Cert students yesterday about a career in the fire service. It proved very informative. Thanks Damien.
Coláiste Éamann Rís would like a say a big Thank You to Callan Cardiac First Responders who facilitated our TY’s training in CPR & AED. This was an invaluable workshop for all our students.

Our 2nd year students from 2A and 2C enjoyed taking part in a CSPE tour today. Students walked around this afternoon with with their CSPE teachers Ms Ova and Mr Buggy and learned about some developments around the local area of Callan.
